Arizona Senate Passes Bill to Pay Taxes in Bitcoin

The State Senate in Arizona passed a bill this week that will allow it's residents to pay their state taxes in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The bill passed by a 16-3 margin in the senate. The bill has been passed to the State's House of Representatives for their vote. The Senate Finance Committee cleared the bill in January.

Arizona State Rep. Jeff Weninger commented, “It’s one of a litany of bills that we’re running that is sending a signal to everyone in the United States, and possibly throughout the world, that Arizona is going to be the place to be for block chain and digital currency technology in the future,”
