On January 8th Alphabet / Google announced they are bringing all of the ways to pay with Google into a single brand called Google Pay.
According to Pali Bhat, Google’s VP of Product Management,
“With Google Pay, it’ll be easier for you to use the payment information saved to your Google Account, so you can speed through checkout with peace of mind. Over the coming weeks, you’ll see Google Pay online, in store, and across Google products, as well as when you’re paying friends.
Look for Google Pay at checkout in Google apps, online, and in stores
Google Pay is already available on Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, Instacart, and other apps and websites you love.”
Developers can visit their payment solutions site for information on implementing Google Pay or work with one of their processor partners for integration.
