Kodak Plans to Use Blockchain To Protect Image Copyright

Kodak announced it's move to the Cryptocurrency space this week. Their plan is a blockchain linked service that will allow photographers to monetize their images. After the announcement Kodak shares were up 200 percent, with volume up 22,000 percent.

According to Bloomberg, CEO Jeff Clark was quoted in a phone interview as stating, “Kodak has always been about making things easy for people, George Eastman: push one button and we do the rest. Blockchain lets us do this.”

Clark has a history in technology with positions at Compaq, HP, and RedHat. Clark is betting that blockchain technology can help find Kodak a niche in helping photographers protect their images from piracy.
