Civic is trying to solve problems in the area of identity and security with the blockchain. They have created a Secure Identity Platform to tackle the challenge.Using Civic's platform, business partners can send customers QR codes to receive their identity information. Customers can provide the information directly from their mobile device, where it is encrypted using their fingerprint reader on their phone without needing to type in any names or passwords. This voluntary exchange of information happens directly between the customer and any Civic business partner that requests the information. Requests for additional data are added to the Civic app where it can be later be validated on the blockchain.
